Revin' up the Harley...Phil & Angela
I thought this was supposed to be easy
Janice and Phil both come from families that place a big importance in “Family”. Janice has seven brothers and sisters, five that live in Nebraska, a brother in Kansas, and a sister in California. Janice’s mother is in assisted living in McCook.
Phil has a brother in Nebraska, a sister in Missouri and another sister in Arkansas. Phil’s parents live on the farm where his great-grandfather lived, which is only two miles from our farm. A lot of family gatherings take place at “Grandma B’s” house.
Our oldest daughter Trish married Luke Cross and lives in Kearney Nebraska. Luke works In Kearney and Trish works as a RN at Regional. They have two daughters, Elizabeth and Charlotte.
Sarah is our middle daughter. She married Khris Staton and they live in Kearney as well. Khris is a Paramedic and Sarah is an RN working as a float nurse at Good Sam’s. They have a daughter, Aliyah, and a son, Ryker.
Angela is our youngest and is attending medical school in Kirksville MO, currently doing rotations. Her husband Tommy works for the JJ Kirlin Group as an assistant construction manager, working jobs from Wichita to North Carolina.
All of our “Family Fun” has had to work around the farm schedule. A lot of Birthdays and Holidays have been missed because of what is going on at the farm. We are thankful to our great crew now so we can get away more. As grandparents we find ourselves traveling to Kearney, or watching the grandkids at the farm.
Showing horses for nearly 20 years has been a lot of fun but has slowed to a near standstill since empty nest has arrived. Janice has become more involved in horses that are “grandchild proof” and horses that can pull our various horse drawn wagons. We still enjoy riding motorcycles but that gets put on the backburner, and love to go golfing. Our lives are continually changing, as we serve our Lord through various church activities and spend time with family.
