Family Fun

[slideshow_deploy id=’238′]

Janice and I both come from families that place a big importance in “Family Fun”. Janice has seven brothers and sisters, four that live in Nebraska, a brother in Kansas, a sister in Minnesota and a sister in Texas.

I have a brother in Nebraska, a sister in Missouri and another sister in Arkansas. My mother still lives on the farm where my great-grandparents lived, which is  where a lot of family gatherings still take place and only two miles from our farm.

Our oldest daughter Trish lives in Kearney Nebraska. She is a RN and works with Tabitha home health. She has two daughters, Elizabeth and Charlotte.

Sarah is our middle daughter. She married Khris Staton and they live in Kearney as well. Khris is an agronomist and Sarah is an RN working as a house supervisor at Good Sam’s. They have a daughter, Aliyah, and a son, Ryker.

Angela is our youngest and is a Doctor in Pathology residency, currently in Kansas City. Her husband Tommy works for MCL as a project estimator. They have the newest addition to the family, a son Wyatt.

All of our “Family Fun” has had to work around our farm schedule, however, we seem to place more responsibility on the crew, and are very grateful for that. As grandparents we find ourselves traveling to Kearney, or KC, or watching the grandkids at the farm.

Showing horses for nearly 20 years has been a lot of fun and after a few years off, the show circuit has surfaced again with our granddaughter Aliyah. She will start showing in 4-H. Janice has also become more involved in driving small and large horses with various horse drawn carts or wagons. We still enjoy riding motorcycles but that gets put on the backburner, and love to go golfing when we have time. Our lives are continually changing, as we serve our Lord through various church activities and spend time with family.
